Visit to Royal Festival Theatre

12 children from years 4 and 5 were lucky enough to be chosen to visit the Royal Festival Theatre, South Bank in London to be members of a participating audience for the BBC Ten Pieces Schools' initiative on Wednesday 13th May. After a train journey to London and a lovely lunch under the impressive London Eye they were treated to an amazing performance of the ten pieces of classical music by the BBC Concert Orchestra. They included: Grieg's 'Hall of the Mountain King'; Beethoven's 5th Symphony and Holtz' 'Mars' piece but the highlight was Handel's 'Zadoc the Priest' where the audience joined in with the singing. It was a fantastic experience! smiley
