EBS are County Champions!

Three teams went to the K2 stadium in Crawley for the annual School Sports County Final.
(no -one else had 3 teams there!)
After an opening ceremony with Darren Campbell and Sacha Kindred they set off to compete.
The netballers were obviously inspired by Darren, who spoke about failures and never giving up until you reach your goal - with one key player down they lost the first 7 matches( although many matches could have gone either way). In the final game they showed real determination and won 3-0. Well done: Imogen, Lexi, Erin, Amanda, Jess, Oliver and Ronnie! :)
The Year 4 Tri-golfers were required to play on playground instead of the grass they had been practising on but, although this proved problematic, they cheerfully battled on and came 4th/5th (tbc) and were awarded determination certificates. Well done to Minnie, Millie, Eden, Carol, Caitlin, Ollie, Ben, Blake, Tom and Callum!
The gymnasts were up against some stiff opposition but performed better than they ever had before! When the results were added up they were found to be winners by 0.4 marks! What a result! They received gold medals at the closing ceremony presented by Ade Adepitan the British Olympic sprinter.
Huge congratulations to Jess, Mia, Mia, Florence, Annie, Alice, Emily and Owen!
What was very pleasing was the way that the athletes supported each other and displayed a high level of sportsmanship! We are proud of you!
