Spring term 2019

Spring term 2019 1

Autumn term 2018

During the Autumn term, our topic was 'We have a long journey to go...'. We read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. Within this topic, we wrote Narnia inspired pieces, learnt about cold climates, created clay characters and painted in the style of J.M.W Turner.

Spring term 2019

This term, we are looking at the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf. In our English lessons, we are recreating the action scene between the mighty warrior Beowulf and the evil monster Grendel. We are also looking at what life would have been like in an Anglo-Saxon village and creating a 'living museum' during our Anglo-Saxon day.

There will be two lessons per week of PE. Please ensure your child has their kit in school all week. We will of course be very busy in other areas of the curriculum. Please see the Curriculum Overview link below for more details.

Home Learning Journal information is here on our webpage in addition to in the children's books.

The library is open from 8:30 for years 4, 5 and 6.
